Stillness of the Storm is a 12" x 18" acrylic original by artist Nandkishor Shinde, centering Lord Shiva's face in deep indigo-blue, eyes closed, framed by a dense, restless field of burnt orange and gold that reads like an autumn forest caught mid-turn.
Shiva's forehead carries the tripundra, three horizontal white lines, with a single red tilak marked between the closed eyes, painted with a clean, deliberate precision that contrasts against the looser, more textured brushwork filling the rest of the canvas.
A slim white crescent moon rests just above his hair, and to the left, the faint silhouette of a trishul emerges from the dark background, both identifying marks kept subtle rather than emphasized, letting the closed-eyed stillness of the face carry the composition instead.
