Devotee of pashupati is a 40" x 36" acrylic original by artist Somnath Bothe. A serene face fills most of the canvas, eyes closed in meditation, crowned with a fan of stylized lotus petals and marked with a circular third-eye motif at the center of the forehead.
Pashupati, an epithet for Shiva as Lord of Animals, is one of the oldest recorded names in Indian devotional tradition, and Bothe's title frames this face not as the deity himself but as a devotee — someone in a state of meditative absorption rather than the divine figure being meditated upon.
