Celestial Beauty Sursundari is a 60" x 48" acrylic original by artist Pratiksha Bothe, arranging four women in profile, layered closely one behind the other, each dressed in a saree patterned with the same recurring lotus motif rendered in a different palette for each figure.
Bothe paints each woman's skin in a distinct, non-naturalistic tone — teal, deep brown, gold-ochre, and violet-blue — a stylistic choice that separates the four figures from one another at a glance even as their poses, hairstyles, and gestures echo each other closely.
Each woman holds or reaches toward a single pink lotus bloom, the flower passed visually from one figure's touch to the next along the row, quietly tying the composition into an unbroken chain of gesture from left to right.
