Golden Threshold II

This companion canvas returns to the same mustard yellow field and dark doorway motif, with the doorway shape shifted slightly right and its glowing interior light reading a touch warmer and wider than in the first panel. The blue and red squares repeat near the base, joined by a small strip of teal along the lower edge, while the trail of red dots continues along the doorway's side, now paired with a longer, more confident teal diagonal sweeping in from the left.

The same loose, gestural mustard background and flatter, deliberate doorway shape continue from the first canvas, keeping the pair clearly related in technique and mood. Small shifts in the geometric accents and the doorway's proportions give this second panel its own subtle rhythm while remaining part of the same playful threshold story.

Hung together, the two canvases suggest a fuller passage or sequence of doorways across a hallway or entryway wall, while each also holds its own individually in a study, reading nook, or creative space that wants a single warm, whimsical accent.

As a matched pair, this painting suits collectors who enjoy narrative, storytelling abstract art, and makes a thoughtful gift for a housewarming or for a creative friend furnishing a studio or home office.

This second Golden Threshold canvas rewards a closer look, its scattered dots and diagonal lines inviting the eye to trace a path across the composition the way a visitor might trace a path toward an actual doorway. At 12 by 12 inches, it hangs comfortably as a single accent or alongside its pair, and its warm mustard ground makes it especially effective under warm lamp light in the evening, when the painted glow inside the doorway seems to deepen and the room around it feels a little more inviting.

The interplay of warm mustard and the small dashes of blue and red gives this canvas a sense of playful movement that suits spaces where you want art to feel a little unexpected, from a creative studio to a child's reading corner. Displayed near warm wood tones or brass hardware, the mustard ground tends to glow rather than compete, keeping the overall room feeling grounded even with a bold accent piece on the wall.

Every Sajaao painting is an original, one-of-a-kind work hand-painted on canvas by the artist, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. Free framing in a choice of colours is available on request, and the surface only needs a gentle wipe with a soft, dry cloth to keep it looking fresh.
