Mosaic of Selves

Mosaic of Selves breaks a face into a mosaic of overlapping teal-toned planes, features reassembled from multiple simultaneous angles in the cubist manner.

Each facial plane carries a slightly different value of teal, which is what keeps the fragmented features legible as a face rather than dissolving into pure abstraction.

Its bold, teal-toned fragmentation suits a study or living room looking for a striking cubist statement piece. Direct afternoon sun is worth avoiding for the sake of the pigments, but everyday indirect daylight suits the piece well.

Layering translucent and opaque passages of acrylic gives a piece like this real depth despite its flattened, graphic style. Sajaao's artists build that layering deliberately rather than working in a single flat pass.

This canvas holds genuine surface variation from its layered acrylic application - a quality that's easiest to appreciate in person. It arrives framed, packed securely, with a certificate of authenticity. Painted in acrylic on canvas by a Sajaao artist, this piece carries the texture and small variation that come only with handwork. It ships with a certificate of authenticity, complimentary framing in the shade you choose, and packaging built to travel safely.

You can select your frame colour from Black, Brown or White at no extra cost, matched to the space you're placing it in. It suits anyone furnishing a first home, redoing a room after a while, or simply looking for one piece with real character rather than several without any. A light, dry dusting is all the canvas needs; avoid placing it in direct sun for extended periods so the pigments stay true. It arrives framed and ready to display straight out of the packaging.

Framed well and hung at the right height, it tends to become the piece people ask about first in a room. It's a piece built around a specific palette, which makes it easier to plan a room around than a more generic composition. It's a piece where the palette does more of the work than the subject alone would, which is often the harder thing to get right. The composition has enough going on to reward a longer look, without needing that longer look to make sense of it. It's built for a normal viewing distance - close enough to catch detail, far enough to read as a whole. Colour, composition and subject were all considered together here, rather than one element carrying the whole piece. It's a piece that earns repeated looks rather than one that's fully taken in on the first pass.
