Soft Anchorage is a 10" x 10" acrylic original by artist Vinay Mhatre, and it renders the harbor vocabulary running through this series at its gentlest, built from a pale white sail shape and a low brown structure set into a soft grey-teal field.
The white sail sits slightly left of center, its edges kept softer and less sharply defined than in the more contrasted pieces in this series, blending gradually into the muted field around it rather than standing out sharply.
Below and beside it, a low brown structure suggests a small harbor building or moored form, worked with light texture rather than the denser, more clustered brushwork found elsewhere in this series.
The surrounding grey-teal field carries subtle tonal shifts rather than distinct shapes, giving the whole composition an even, hazy quality, as though the scene were being viewed through a light mist rather than in clear daylight.
A faint ochre accent appears low in the composition, the only warm note in an otherwise cool, muted palette, small enough to read as incidental rather than as a deliberate focal point, the kind of detail that surfaces only once the eye has settled into the painting's quieter rhythm.
