Eternal Bond is a 24" x 30" acrylic original by artist Deven Bhosale, and it is the most conceptually layered of his horse portraits. A dapple grey horse strides forward against a warm orange field, and worked faintly into that background are small horse silhouettes in the flat, simplified style of prehistoric cave paintings.
That pairing is exactly what the title describes: not just one horse, but the relationship between horses and humans traced back to its earliest recorded form, the painted animal in the foreground standing in front of images of its own kind from tens of thousands of years earlier.
Bhosale keeps the cave-art silhouettes deliberately faint and reddish-brown, close to the pigments actually used in prehistoric rock art, so they read as genuine ancient markings rather than a decorative pattern.
The main horse itself is rendered with full contemporary detail — individually modeled dapples across its coat, a richly textured mane — creating a clear visual conversation between finished realism in front and simplified ancient mark-making behind.
