Sadhu Aghori is a 30" x 42" acrylic original by artist Deven Bhosale. A figure is caught mid-dance, arms raised and bent at deliberate angles, one half of the body painted dark and the other left pale — a visual split that speaks directly to Aghori practice, an ascetic path built on holding opposites, purity and impurity, together without flinching from either.
Vertical stripes of white and orange mark the figure's face like ash-application, a detail consistent with Aghori ritual practice, where cremation ash is worn as both protection and a reminder of impermanence.
A trident stands planted in the ground beside the figure, its trident form associated with Shiva, the deity most closely tied to Aghori devotion — present in the scene without being the painting's central subject.
