Weathered Face II is a 36x36 acrylic original by artist Siddhesh Rane, a companion square to its pair, the same rough red rock face on the left set against a warmer magenta-to-gold gradient on the right.
As a companion to Weathered Face, this canvas repeats the same rough, pitted rock texture on the left but shifts the right-hand gradient toward warmer magenta and gold. Hung together, the two canvases share structure but diverge in temperature, one leaning cooler and pink, the other warmer and closer to amber.
Like its companion, the large 36x36 format gives the textured rock passage genuine physical presence on the wall. Set beside Weathered Face, this canvas leans warmer and slightly more luminous, the magenta-gold gradient catching more light than its cooler pink companion.
Weathered Face II reflects his recurring return to canyon and cliff forms, built from thick, palette-knife layers of color applied in deliberate, directional passes. It belongs to a wider group of 19 canyon and cliff-toned abstracts released together, several of which share this same underlying palette and technique. Together with Weathered Face, it forms the largest matched pair in the series, sharing structure but diverging in temperature across two substantial canvases.
As a gallery-wrapped acrylic on canvas, it can be hung unframed for a clean, contemporary look, or set into a simple floating frame for a more finished edge.
