Golden Vault is a 12x36 acrylic original by artist Siddhesh Rane, a tall panel where a golden-brown sky meets a glowing yellow rock structure lit from within, set against a deepening red ground below.
The yellow rock structure at the center appears to hold its own light, built from layered strokes of pale and saturated yellow that read as illumination rather than reflection. Above it, the golden-brown sky is worked in soft horizontal passes, while the ground below deepens into red, framing the glowing structure on both sides.
The glowing quality of the central structure holds up well even in lower light, since the yellow reads as its own light source. Of the four tall panels in this series, this is the one where light itself feels like the subject, rather than the rock formation carrying it.
Golden Vault reflects his recurring return to canyon and cliff forms, built from thick, palette-knife layers of color applied in deliberate, directional passes. It belongs to a wider group of 19 canyon and cliff-toned abstracts released together, several of which share this same underlying palette and technique. Of the four vertical panels, it pairs most closely with Amber Descent in its warm gold-to-red gradient, though the glowing central form here is unique to this piece.
As a gallery-wrapped acrylic on canvas, it can be hung unframed for a clean, contemporary look, or set into a simple floating frame for a more finished edge.
Golden Vault would suit a cafe or casual dining space, where its scale and palette can anchor the room without overwhelming it. As a non-representational piece, it also works well as a gift for someone furnishing a new home or office who wants a strong color statement rather than a literal scene.
Rane's canyon-toned abstracts are built up gradually in layers, and the finished surface still holds the marks of that process rather than smoothing them away. As a handmade original, small variations in texture and brushwork are part of the piece rather than a flaw, and are consistent with how Rane works across this series.
