Memorable Moment is a 24" x 36" acrylic original by artist Sanjay Sabale. A mother holds an infant close against her shoulder, her long, elongated arm curved gently around the child's back, her face tilted down toward the baby in quiet focus — an ordinary gesture the title marks as worth holding onto.
Sabale's fine hatching technique gives the mother's exposed skin and hair a textured, almost woven quality, while flat blocks of green, gold, and orange in her clothing and the woven bag at her shoulder keep the figure graphically clear against the piece's bright magenta and violet background.
