Green Breeze is a 14x19 watercolor original by artist Nandkishor Shinde, a wider cascade of water spilling over rounded purple-brown boulders, framed by dense green trees on both banks.
The rounded, weathered quality of the purple-brown boulders here contrasts with the more angular rocks seen elsewhere in this collection's other river scenes. Trees crowding both banks are built from dense, varied greens, giving the whole scene a lush, enclosed feeling despite the open water at its center.
The overall composition feels slightly more open than Flowing Through Rocks, with a wider stretch of water and sky visible. The water's surface shifts between white foam and darker, more transparent passages, suggesting varying depth and current across the scene.
Green Breeze reflects his consistent interest in ordinary village, forest, and coastal life, rendered through loose washes rather than tight, literal illustration. It belongs to a wider group of watercolors from Shinde's Konkan and Pune-region work, several sharing this same loose, atmospheric technique. Its rounded boulders and open water connect it most closely to The Path of the Stream, both built around a similar river setting.
