Hirave Raan is a 14x10 watercolor original by artist Nandkishor Shinde, a cluster of village houses beside a still pond, set against layered blue-green mountains under a hazy, cloud-streaked sky.
The mountains are built from progressively paler washes of blue-green, giving real atmospheric distance behind the more solidly painted houses in the foreground. The pond's still surface catches faint reflections of the houses and trees above it, a quiet anchor at the center of the composition.
The overall mood stays calm and settled, the village feeling well established within its mountain surroundings rather than isolated by them. The scattered figures near the pond are reduced to a few simple color marks, enough to suggest daily activity without pulling focus from the wider view.
Hirave Raan reflects his loose, wet-on-wet watercolor technique, letting pigment bleed and settle rather than controlling every edge. It belongs to a wider group of watercolors from Shinde's Konkan and Pune-region work, several sharing this same loose, atmospheric technique.
